Tish Jones, LICSW, PIP

La Tycia “Tish” Jones is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with experience in

clinical social work since 2001. She currently is involved in developing tracking tools to

monitor patient progress and outcomes, implementing new programs in health services,

and assisting physicians in managing and completing their Medicare Quality Metric. In

meeting individual quality metrics, she conducts interventions to include face-to-face

visits with patients and their families in emergency rooms and physician’s offices, as

well as case and disease management.

Started her career working in a skilled nursing facility as a social service director, La

Tycia transitioned to a social work consultant. While doing some consulting in a nursing

home in 1999, she developed a close relationship with a senior patient who became a

big part of her life. During graduate school, she would take her daughter to visit with

him. While on one of her visits, he told her that she was going to work with seniors for

the rest of her life, and she did not believe him. She told him because of their

relationship and how close they became, she would likely redirect her energy to focus

on something else. But every job she’s had since graduate school has involved seniors.

La Tycia treats all patients with respect and dignity, the way she would want someone to

treat her loved ones. She found the senior population to be amongst her favorite to work

and is the only population she has continued to work with in some form or fashion

throughout her career. She’s been very grateful to serve this population and enjoys their

wisdom as she always seems to learn something from them. Her most important

professional accomplishments are when her patient’s quality of live is improved or

enhances by her services.
