Jasmine Shorter, ALC

Under the supervision of Dominique Cecil, LPC-S

" I'm here to help you find your most fulfilled self, beyond your problems and despite your traumas."

Jasmine is a Birmingham native. She received her undergraduate degree from University of Alabama at Birmingham and graduate degree from Jacksonville State University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She has experience in inpatient settings as well as outpatient care.

Her personal experience in therapy after a child loss in 2022 opened her eyes to the healing it can provide. That experience pushed her to change careers and focus on helping individuals and families find peace despite their traumas.

Jasmine loves working with Perinatal individuals (fertility complications, prenatal/postpartum depression and anxiety, and child loss), couples/families, and individuals looking to grow beyond their struggles.

She is Gottman Level 1 trained for Couples treatment. Other Treatment methods include CBT, DBT, and holistic approaches.
